Meet our Team
Lloyd W. Armbrust II
Founder and CEO
Lloyd comes from nine-years experience in making newspaper money online. From production to code, he is passionate about the future of newspapers in the online medium.
Frank Licea has designed, implemented and lead successful software projects in diverse fields including cross-border security, supply chain logistics, seismic tomography, and consumer facing software. Frank solves software problems with an eye towards business concerns. He likes strong drinks, old Japanese sports cars and reading code on his iPad.
Jeremy Mims is a Y Combinator founder and entrepreneurial spirit living in New York City. He previously founded Frogmetrics and advises four companies including Perpetually.com. He loves running, technology, and vegetarian cuisine.
Jason remembers writing his first BASIC program when he was 8 years old and has shunned normal social behavior in favor of tinkering around with Linux and software development since he started shaving. In his free time he lugs around a camera, turns barley into beer and repeats mundane trivia that he learns on Wikipedia.
Vice President of Sales and Strategy
Lamar Romero is the strategy and development guy at OwnLocal. Lamar’s our resident old guy and utilizes his 15+ years of previous experience with Dell and other great companies to ensure everything and everybody at OwnLocal has a nice organized flow. His primary mission is to make community partnerships a win-win for everyone involved.
Director of Operations
This is essentially the space where Kevin should direct some of his operations.
Director of Support
Patricia has been working in the customer relations field since she was in high school. She loves working with people and is devoted to keeping her clients happy. Customer satisfaction is her number one priority.
Joe Mann, he’s our man, he if he can’t do it, nobody can.
Enterprise Sales Manager
Between living his “Happily Ever After”, pursuing a dream to be a professional sports icon (There’s always hope!) and helping newspapers understand “webs and internets” we’ve found his sales processing skills to be second to Chuck Norris alone.
Enterprise Sales Manager
The Chinese side of Kelly remembers when Chinese Central Television aired a Madonna concert for the first time. Despite years of “re-education” into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Saved by the Bell in America, however, Kelly has stopped watching TV for the most part. He found that being a husband and father kept him plenty busy and well-entertained. He’s also an avid reader.

A gun rack… a gun rack. I don’t even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do… with a gun rack?
Joe does a little bit of a lot of things. He sings, plays a few instruments, does some video production, makes granola, and occasionally does some actual programming. And for some reason he’s always talking about starting a commune, and only eats animals that were raised “free-range” within 100 miles of where he lives…
Resident food snob, football enthusiastic, and known brogrammer. Chooses to rage in Ruby on Rails.
